My name is Kristina Modares & I’m a real estate agent in the Austin area.
I moved to Austin in 2012 on a whim and instantly fell in love. The energy, the food, the open minded and kind people–this is my city!
Before moving, I studied management with a concentration in events. I’ve had the opportunity to work as an event manager and coordinator in the Austin area and understand the importance of genuine customer service because of these experiences.
Buying or selling a home can seem daunting and I aim to be the support system most people may not have through this process. That is precisely why I created the “How to Buy a House in Austin” Guide. I want to break this down for people in a way that is both easy to understand and informative. It’s something to refer to before and during the home buying process. I also provide an open and comfortable environment so that my clients feel like they can relax and are taken care of. No need to stress!
I’ve always wanted to find a career path where I could help connect and guide people with the freedom to manage myself in the process. I don’t find my job to be “work”, I see it as my lifestyle, and it reflects in my approach and relationship with my clients. As cheesy as that may sound, it’s true! I don’t try to be the right fit for everyone. I do hope to attract those who are looking for what I’m putting out into the world: a reliable, personable and knowledgeable guide who promises not to simply throw them a sales pitch.
Here are some of my favorite activities in Austin.
WALK LADY BIRD LAKE
Grab a dog for a day from Austin Pets Alive and walk on Lady Bird Lake. The shelter runs a program that allows people to take dogs for much needed walks on the trail.
EAT AT FONDA SAN MIGUEL
Fonda San Miguel brunch. This is a tad pricey but they have a super amazing spread. A personal favorite for dinner.
THE NIGHTOWLS AT ICENHAUER'S
The Nightowls at Icenhauer’s on Sundays. Drinks. Rainey Street. Motown Music. Dancing.
THE BROKEN SPOKE
Go to Broken Spoke and watch adorable older couples two-step or go to The White Horse and partake in two-stepping with hipsters, cowboys, the young and middle aged...
Go to the Alamo Drafthouse, and slurp on a boozy milkshake. Also, Violet Crown is amazing for unique movies.
